CEA Membership voting for furlough days will be open from March 15, 2010 to March 22, 2010. No late votes will be accepted.

You will need your CTA Membership Number, found on your CTA card to vote. Contact Pat or Janice at the CEA office at 408-257-2122 if you don't know your membership number. Please remember, each CEA member gets ONE (1) vote. If you vote more than once, neither vote will count.
Some information for you to be able to make an informed decision:
If you wish to vote by paper (or know somebody who does), you must stop by the CEA office by Monday, March 22, 2010, by 4:00pm, with photo ID to complete a paper ballot.
Survey results will be emailed to CEA Site Representative Assembly members on Tuesday, March 23.

1 furlough day = 0.5% of your gross salary (ie, $70,000 salary = $350)
If we take 1-5 furlough days, they would be student learning days.
If we take 6-9 furlough days, 5 would be student days and up to 4 would be staff learning days.
If we take 10 furlough days, 5 would be student days, 4 would be staff learning days, and 1 would be an August teacher preparation day.
When votes add up to at least 51% of the voting members, we will put forward that the CEA membership has recommended that number of furlough days.
