WHAT:  Their Future is Now! Kick-off Rally

WHEN:  4:00 pm, March 16, 2010

WHERE: Nimitz Elementary School, Guided Learning Center

                 545 E. Cheyenne Drive

                 Sunnyvale, CA


On Tuesday, March 16, at 4:00 pm, members of the parent community, CEEF, and CUSD will co-host a rally at Nimitz Elementary School to kick off a community wide campaign, Their Future Is Now! Their goal is to raise $3 million by May 15 to reinstate the up to 115 teachers in grades K-8 who have received lay-off notices, prevent the reassignment of remaining teachers throughout the district, and prevent the approved 50% increase in class size in the primary grades.
Our community is proud of its shared value of excellence in education, which is why we are uniting to support our children and protect our schools.

The event will feature speakers from each of the co-sponsoring groups as well as students who have already raised money to contribute to the Their Future Is Now! campaign. Donation Stations will be available for contributions at the event.

Parents, students, teachers and members of the community are encouraged to join us and to show support for Their Future Is Now!
