At the board meeting when the salary increases were given many questions arose of why the change in job descriptions and salary increases were given. The Districts response was that it need to give the increases to the two members of the CUSD management team in order to retain highly qualified management. CEA wants to know if the District will use the same answer when the districts employee groups renegotiate there salary and health benefits in the coming months as it is just as difficult to attract and retain qualified teachers in the high cost of living area that is Cupertino.
